Unlock Your Strengths, Understand Yourself, and Make Aligned Decisions (In Every Area of Your Life)
How a chance connection, a shared philosophy, and one collaborative spark turned into a self-reflection tool for anyone ready to step into more alignment.
There are certain people you meet and instantly feel like you’ve known forever. When I met Allie Beckmann— a financial planner with the warmest energy and the sharpest brain — it was exactly that kind of moment. We started talking about strengths, self-discovery, money, goals… and before either of us knew it, we were deep in a conversation about how the way we operate at our core shapes everything in our lives.
And I mean everything:
How we make decisions.
How we lead.
How we avoid the things that make us uncomfortable.
How we dream, plan, spend, save, spiral… all of it.
The more we talked, the more it was clear:
You can’t separate who you are from the way you move through the world.
And if you really want to make changes, build confidence, or feel more grounded in any area of your life — you have to understand yourself first.
That’s where the idea for our free workbook was born.
Why Strengths Matter More Than You Realize
I work with people every day who think their struggles are about discipline, motivation, or “not being good at certain things.” And every time, the deeper truth is the same:
They’re trying to solve problems in ways that don’t match how they’re wired.
When you operate outside your strengths, everything feels like you're pushing a boulder uphill.
When you operate within your strengths, things click. They open. They move.
It’s not about “fixing yourself.”
It’s about understanding yourself — and then using that understanding to make aligned choices.
A Personal Moment of Clarity (AKA: My Strengths Calling Me Out… Honestly, Rude)
I’ll be honest: becoming an entrepreneur forced a massive mindset shift for me.
Money stressed me out. The fear of not having enough sat in the back of my mind like an old, unhelpful roommate who never paid rent.
And then there was my CliftonStrengths profile… specifically Responsibility sitting right at the top.
Responsibility is incredible when it comes to follow-through, consistency, and being the person others can rely on.
But for me? It also showed up as:
guilt when I spent money
fear of “doing something wrong”
pressure to always make the “perfect” choice
a belief that if anything went wrong, it was automatically my fault
This wasn’t just about finances — it was about old narratives from childhood, how I was raised, what money represented, and how much value was placed on being “good,” “careful,” and “responsible” at all times.
Seeing that strength through a new lens helped me understand something huge:
My stress wasn’t coming from irresponsibility.
It was coming from the fear of being irresponsible.
And that small mindset shift softened everything.
I wasn’t broken.
I wasn’t bad with money.
I wasn’t making decisions out of chaos.
I was simply navigating life with a strength that needed more compassion and space.
That’s the power of self-awareness.
When I asked Allie what one of the biggest mindset blocks people have around money is, and what helps them move through it, she shared:
“Too often I see people talk themselves out of making progress with their financial lives because they're "waiting for the right time." They're waiting for life to settle down, the holidays to pass, getting themselves more organized... but the reality is this: it's never the right time to start working on your finances. Life will continue to change, evolve, and that "sense of calm" is an ever-moving mirage. The best thing you can do is release the shame and get honest about where you're starting from. Only then can you uncover the best next step to start moving forward. And if you're scared to talk to a professional because you're "too disorganized" or "too behind" - it's our job to help you get organized and start making progress! Don't let your own excuses be the downfall of your future financial success. “
The Collaboration That Sparked Something Bigger
When Allie and I started talking about the connection between strengths and money, we realized we had the same belief:
You can’t have clarity in your goals if you don’t have clarity in yourself.
We wanted to create a tool that wasn’t about “fixing your financial life” or “becoming a different person.”
We wanted something that helped you slow down, reflect, and understand:
how you think
how you feel
how you make decisions
where you get stuck
where you shine without even trying
Self-discovery isn’t just for personal development.
It’s the foundation for better choices in every area of your life — money included.
That’s why we created this workbook together.
And truly? It was one of the most fun, energizing collaborations I’ve had as a solopreneur.
There’s something special about making something with someone instead of for someone — especially when you’re both deeply aligned.
